PATH Activity Schedule
Piedmont Appalachian Trail Hikers Responsibility
for Safety
Certain risks are inherent in any Club activity. Each PATH
member, guest, or non-member hiker agrees to accept responsibility
for his or her own safety and the safety of minors accompanying such
person. The Club cannot ensure the safety of any participants on hikes.
Each person agrees to hold harmless and free from blame the hike leaders,
and PATH, Inc. its officers and members, for any accident, injury,
or illness which might be sustained from participation in hikes or
other Club activities. |
Work trips are the 3rd Saturday of each month March through October.
Generally, members meet Friday evening at Stony Fork Campground or at
Konnarock/USGS Facilities in Sugar Grove. Work groups are dispatched to
the trail early Saturday morning, and Saturday evening is usually spent
chowing down at a pre-arranged group meal in camp or at a nearby restaurant.
Sunday's activities are up to individual members, with a mixture of organized
hikes and freelance activities. For the location of Stony Fork Campground,

It's always a good idea to phone or e-mail one of the work trip coordinators
to let them know you're coming. Occasionally circumstances prevent us
from meeting at Stony Fork. If you call ahead, we'll make sure you get
